Domestic milk intake up 14.5% in April
Domestic Milk Intake Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated at 775.5 million litres for April 2015.
This was 14.5% above the corresponding 2014 figure.
Comparing the April 2015 milk produce figures with those for April 2014 shows that:
- Total milk sold for human consumption decreased by 1.9% to 36.2 million litres.
- Butter production was up 15.3% to 19,900 tonnes.
