Irish CSO Milk Statistics March 2012
Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated as 472.9 million
litres for March 2012.

Domestic milk intake up 5.5% in March
Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated as 472.9 million
litres for March 2012. This was 5.5% above the corresponding 2011 figure. See
graph opposite.
Comparing the March 2012 milk produce figures with those for March 2011 shows
that:
- Total milk sold for human consumption decreased by 3.9% to 42.1 million litres.
- Butter production was up 10.4% to 13,800 tonnes
