Irish CSO Reports: Milk Statistics August 2013
Domestic milk intake was up 8.2% in August.
Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated at 591.6 million litres for August 2013. This was 8.2% above the corresponding 2012 figure.
Comparing the August 2013 milk produce figures with those for August 2012 shows that:
- Total milk sold for human consumption decreased by 1.2% to 41.1 million litres.
- Butter production was up 9.3% to 15,300 tonnes.
