USDA International Egg and Poultry: US Chicken Paw and Feet Exports
The US shipped 49,645 MT of paws and feet from January-February
2013, 25% lower than the same time a year ago (66,072 MT).
Comparatively, US paw and feet exports from January-February 2013
are 7% lower than 2011 (53,422 MT), 21% higher than 2010 (41,140
MT), 21% lower than 2009 (62,893 MT), and 27% lower than 2008
(67,666 MT). Total US exports of paws and feet have been on the

In February 2013, the US exported a total of 23,688 MT of paws and feet, 9% lower than January 2013 (25,957 MT) and 36% lower than February 2012 (36,786 MT). In comparison, February 2013 exports are 9% lower than February 2011 (26,094 MT), 18% higher than February 2010 (20,150 MT), 23% lower than February 2009 (30,934 MT), and 38% lower than 2008 (38,119 MT).
The top two leading markets for US paw and feet exports have been China and Hong Kong despite ongoing trade disputes. Combined China and Hong Kong accounted for nearly 75% of total US paw and feet exports from January-February in 2013 (49,645 MT) and 98% in 2012 (64,626 MT).

The US exported a total of 337,656 MT to both China and Hong Kong in 2012 accounting for 93% of total exports, 97% in 2011 (337,415 MT), 95% in 2010 (290,507 MT), 98% in 2009 (463,602 MT), and 97% in 2008 (494,903 MT).
