Domestic Milk Intake Down 0.4% in November
Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated at 233.5 million litres for November 2012. This was 0.4% below the corresponding 2011 figure.
Comparing the November 2012 milk produce figures with those for November 2011 shows that:
- Total milk sold for human consumption increased by 0.2% to 40.9 million litres.
- Butter production was down 3.5% to 8,300 tonnes.
